To go along with the Brazil and England models adidas Originals has also released Samba’s honoring USA and Germany in their FIFA World Cup collection. Like England the American team hasn’t really been much of a competitor in the World Cup, which I’m sort of ashamed to say about my country. The best we’ve ever done was get third place, and that was 80yrs ago back in 1930. The German squad on the other hand has had their achievements over the years. Even though they’ve only been crowned Champions 1 time back in 1974, Germany holds a handful of World Cup records including one which ties them with Brazil for the most World Cup Final appearances.
Enough about that though, let’s move on to the kicks. For the US edition adidas Originals designed the Samba using a Black leather upper with Black suede wrapping around the toe. Accents of white appear on the adidas three-stripe, the mid-sole, and heel tab while the USA flag is included on the same button along the top of the lace eyelets which we saw incorporated onto the rest of the FIFA World Cup collection. The pair for Germany features a brighter finish with a Red leather base, Red suede around the toe and accents of White applied throughout. There’s also a Gum sole on this pair instead of the usual White and the button above the lace eyelets consists of the German flag.
Whether you like soccer or you’re just a fan of classic adidas’ you can get either of these two Samba’s now through HUF.
