In 1984 adidas released the Forum, their first basketball sneaker which they produced not only in a high top style but also in mid and low top versions. The Forum is known to be one of adidas’ most popular basketball shoes and one of their most iconic styles ever produced due to the high level of detail that adidas ensured was present in the shoe – Dellinger webbing, the Velcro ankle strap, plus the lofty price tag which was a mere fraction of other sneakers like it.
Starting with the classic Forum Mid adidas Originals revamped the sneakers and turned them into ‘transformable’ versions called the Forum Mid TF. When we say transformable we mean in the sense where the shoes use a removable popper/Velcro panel which lays across the lace stay and provides you with two different looks depending on your preference. The first Forum Mid TF to release will be this nicely done Black/Grey/Black-Orange version which uses fairly neutral colors on the upper with the accent features coming into play on the outsole. We unfortunately don’t have a photo of the sneakers with the strap removed but thanks to CrookedTongues, where the sneakers are available for pre-order, we are able to give you a look at the shoe in it’s entirety with the strap intact.
