With a warm welcome from consumers Nike released various colorways of the Air Griffey Max 1 throughout 2009 to help pave the way for the retro release of the Air Griffey Max GDII. While the Air Griffey Max 1 may be head and shoulders above the rest of the Swingman line in terms of popularity but the Griffey Max GDII isn’t far behind and this 2010 retro release, 8yrs after their original release, may just give the sneakers that needed bump to bring em up to pair with the 1’s.
Throughout the next couple months Nike’s will release a few colorways of the Air Griffey Max GDII. The first of the Air Griffey Max GDII’s to hit distributors will be this Black/Red edition which users a solid Black upper slightly accented by a touch of Red within the visible air unit and on the Nike branding near the ankle, on the tongue and on the toe. A sleek upper, subtle branding and a full length air unit all make up for a slick pair of kicks and the fact Nike’s produced them in simple colorways makes them easy to match with just about anything in your closet.
Sources are calling for a release sometime this month so visit your local retailers to check on availability in your area, or hit up eBay to pre-order yourself one of numerous pairs available which are stated to be shipped in April.
