Run Athletics may not be on the level of a company such as Nike but thats not to say they havent made an impact on the sneaker industry. The Icon is a new sneaker by Run Athletics which is dedicated to Rev Run from Run-DMC. Last year Rev Run was named a BMI Icon during the organizations 7th Annual Urban Awards for his role in the growth of hip-hop music. The Icon designation is given to BMI songwriters and artists who have had “a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.” The sneaker was made in honor of Runs BMI honor. The sneaker is the flagship sneaker of Run Athletics and its available in three colorways so far; white, black and white/black. They run for $65 a piece and available at Dr Jays.
