Although they tend to be one of his most popular signature models the Nike Air Pippen 1 was not really a personal favorite for Scottie Pippen. The full-length Air Max Air Pippen 1 was proven to be a bit bulky for Scottie’s personal preference and if you watch clips from his days with Jordan and the Bulls you’ll notice his own PE models of the Pippen 1 didn’t include the full-length air unit. I happen to love em no matter how clunky they may be and I’m defiantly looking forward to the upcoming retro releases set for later this year, including this White/Grey/Total Orange version set to release on June 25th. If you think they’re a little on the bright side and would rather have a more toned down version don’t forget about the White/Black/Metallic Silver Air Pippen 1 set to release a month before these.
They’ll both be a general release and will be available at a slew of retailers across the nation, so if you’re interested mark your calendars and click here to see some detailed photos of the shoes provided by Footlocker.
