When it comes to Kobe releases one of my personal favorites has to be the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “Draft Day” in a Charlotte Hornets color scheme honoring what could of been if the Hornets had not traded Kobe Vlade Divac after they drafted him in the 1996 NBA Draft. The colorway just worked for me then, but it’s not seem to be having the same effect on me when it comes to the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Charlotte Hornets” shown here. I guess it’s just cause I tend to favor the Zoom Kobe IV over the V. Whatever floats your boat though.
The color scheme used throughout the Charlotte Hornets edition of the Zoom Kobe V is almost an exact duplicate to the IV’s, besides for the fact these have purple added to the inner lining which the IV’s didn’t have. These also lack the embroidery on the heel displaying the date Kobe was drafted which may have been a key factor in the decision of numerous Kobe Bryant fans purchasing the IV’s.
