Last week we took a look at an Air Max LeBron VII which pays tribute to Christ The King, a high school in Queens, NY which once housed athletes such as Lamar Odom and Jayson Williams. Now thanks to MarqueeSole we’re able to provide you with some images of another school inspired Air Max LeBron VII, this time a version honoring the University of Akron, a college which LeBron James may have attended had he not gone directly into the NBA, and a college which hasn’t had an athlete drafted by the NBA since Nate Barnett who was drafted in the 7th Round of the 1975 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets.
The Nike Air Max LeBron VII “University of Akron” model boasts a color scheme resembling that of the Akron Zips with a navy blue base, gold detailing and a splash of white on the Swoosh and mid-sole. On the inside of the heel on the right sneakers you have the logo of the Akron Zips with the inside of the heel on the left sneaker consisting of your usual L23 logo in white. There also appears to be a pair of custom lace tags but I can’t quite make out what they say.
