It’s been months since I’ve featured the “Would You Rock Em??” segment and many of you told me on Twitter and Facebook that you would love to see it make a comeback every so often. In a reply to your request’s I am pleased to present you a new issue of Would You Rock Em??.
In this issue of Would You Rock Em?? I have put together various colorways of the Nike Dunk Hi inspired by some of the sneakers blogs out there. On the list is NiceKicks, TheShoeGame, SneakerNews, SneakerFiles, SneakerFreaker, SoleCollector, CounterKicks and of course one for SneakerObsession. I would have done a few more, but not everybody out there uses a unique signature color scheme and I found that some of them we’re starting to look the same as each other.
With that being said, click here to check out the designs and put in your vote(s) for whichever ones you would rock.

First on the list is a Nike Dunk Hi inspired by the color scheme that Matt uses on Nice Kicks, as well as the color scheme used on the XXX. Matt did up the Nice Kicks Asics with a predominantly red color scheme and some nice hits of white therefore I did the same. However there’s a little more white in my version as I’m not a big fan of red uppers with solid red sole units.

Next up is a Dunk Hi inspired by the New Balance 850 “Skippy” which Simon “Woody” Wood from Sneaker Freaker designed in collaboration with New Balance. I tried to duplicate the exact color blocking used on the NB 850, with a nice tan-ish color on the frontal and toe-box with the mid section, heel and tongue finished off in black. I couldn’t exactly duplicate the volt color used on the 850′s to a T but I the best I could and applied it to the Nike Swoosh and inner lining.

When I think of G-Roc from the The Shoe Game and the layout in which he uses on the site, and the logo, the first thing that comes to mind is black, red and white. So that’s exactly the route I went with The Shoe Game Dunk Hi giving them a predominantly red upper with a hit of black on the toe-box, tongue, and inner lining, with white on the Nike Swoosh and laces. Black is also used on the upper portion of the sole, with white on the mid-sole and red on the outsole. Anybody else getting a Bulls vibe?

Here we have a pair inspired by the logo which Yu-Ming Wu uses on Sneaker News. As you can see by the logo which is posted alongside the sneakers it consists of a university blue base with the lettering in white. So for Sneaker News Dunk Hi i gave the sneakers even use of both colors with blue on the frontal, lace panels, mid-panel, around the ankle and on the tongue. White comes into play on the toe-box, Nike Swoosh, inner lining and on the wing/heel. The sole unit features continued use of both colors.

Moving on we now have a pair inspired by Counter Kicks, the creation of John Brilliant which is a new comer to the blogosphere. Counter Kicks uses a very simple lay0ut and logo, with not to much of a signature color scheme going on. Viewing the site you see a lot of white, a pure black logo and just a hit of red, so i went real simple with these and used a pure white base with a few hits of black mixed in and just a single hit of red on the tongue tag. Simplicity at it’s finest.

Anybody and everybody who knows anything about sneakers is well aware of Sole Collector, which is why they had to be included in this sneaker blog series. It just wouldn’t be complete without em. For the Sole Collector Dunk Hi I simply just went with a black/purple/white colorway inspired by the Sole Collector logo. My initial design replicated the sample Heaven’s Gate Nike SB Dunks which surfaced online in 2008 and ended up getting scrapped for the Unheaven’s Gate model which released in April 2009. That wasn’t my intention and happened to just be a coincidence, so I put together this second colorway which uses a combo of nothing but black and purple on the upper with a hit of white on the Swoosh.

Next in line is SneakerFiles Dunk Hi. SneakerFiles uses a logo which consists of a minor gradient effect with two shades of blue and two shades of grey, with a touch of white for the .com. I duplicated the both shades of blue and used it for the base of the upper and then took one of the shades of grey and applied it to the Swoosh and laces. There’s also just a hint of black on the mid-sole stitching since SneakerFiles uses a black outline around they’re logo with a black pair of kicks hanging from the logo.

Lastly we have a Nike Dunk Hi inspired by the colors used in the Sneaker Obsession logo. To be honest this is probably my least favorite pair out of the series and one which i defiantly don’t expect to lead in the polls. Sort of ironic since Sneaker Obsession is my site, but I’m not to keen on red, white and blue sneaker. If your familiar with the Would You Rock Em?? series and have seen some of the previous segments, these may look a little like the Pepsi Dunks too you, which I featured in an earlier series.
Now that you’ve seen the designs it’s time to put in your vote(s) for whichever shoes you would rock. Hit up the poll below and let us know what your feeling!!
