#6 – Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Retro Black/White/Fresh Water – This was a retro release which I myself was really pleased about. I use to be a big Griffey fan back in the day, and can even remember the days of watching his pops play (Still got both of their Rookie cards too). The Griffs were always one of my favorite sneakers and when news broke that Nike would be retor’ing them in 2009 it was nothing but music to my years. Not only did Nike bring back the OG colorways, such as the Fresh Water version here which was one of the most popular articles of the year, but they also put together some new color schemes, some which are set to release this year in 2010. At a #6 position in the Top 10 Articles of 2009 I can’t say i’m to surprised as these were long overdue for many of us.
