No matter how many classic they already got in the bag Jordan Brand will ever forever be trying to grasp our attention with new hybrid designs which usual fuse the old with the new. A lot of us would love to just have new colorways of some of personal favorite Jays but instead JB decides to saturate the lineup with either a slew of AJ1 colorways or these new designs which usually don’t take off like a fresh pair of 3’s, 8’s, 11’s or 12’s would.
One of the new models coming our way in 2010 from Jordan Brand will be the Jordan Classic 91 which is seen here in a Varsity Red/Black-White colorway. The idea of design was to produce a pair of sneakers with the styling from sneakers in the early 90’s, a pivotal time in Jordan’s career. The number 91 was decided upon to honor the 1990-1991 NBA Season which was an accomplished year for MJ which included his first NBA Championship with the Chicago Bulls, his 5th straight scoring title, his 2nd MVP Award, his 7th NBA All-Star title, his 4th All-NBA selection and his 4th All-Defensive selection. Not to mention many high scoring games and memorable moments with Scottie Pippen.
According to what has been seen in the Jordan Brand catalog this will be one of a few Jordan Classic 91 color schemes releasing in 2010 so if your diggin the style but just not the color stay tuned for further updates on other color variations.
