From time to time we come through with a pair of custom sneakers which usually spark plenty of comments on Twitter. Over the course of our time online we have featured some pretty wild custom designs. However its sometime the finer lesser things which make the biggest hit.
What we have here is simplicity at its finest when it comes to customs. Well, i dont really want to call it simple, cause that its not, but there is no hand painting going on, no premium fabrics being added, and in all reality nothing was even done to the upper of the shoes. In what some may consider a risk, and a very expensive risk at that, the sole units from the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Cactus’ and the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Eggplant’ have been swapped with each other for the sole purpose of redesigning the Eggplant Foamposites with cactus outsole to resemble a Joker inspired colorway. Not wanting a clear Foamposite outsole go to waste, and now having a Cactus Foamposite without its cactus sole unit the translucent outsole was glued on. As i said, a sole swap is not the easiest of tasks as a lot can go wrong which can ruin your sneakers for good but when handled correctly the swap can be such an improvement. The Eggplant Foams are a must have in their own state among collectors, including myself, but i can honestly say i would much watch have these Joker Foamposites.

If you are interested in doing a Foamposite sole swap though please contact the crew at Sole Seeker with more info. Please refer to this article for their reference.
