Obama Custom Air Force One Sneakers
Barack Obama is all over the place. You see his campaign signs along all the roads and his face plastered all over the newspapers and TV. Now you even see his face on a pair of custom Air Force Ones which have been designed by an artist named Van or Van20. Instead of a flashy colorway or the use of patterns and materials, Van used his pure artistic talent for these. Each shoe includes an image of Barack Obama which i have to say is pretty impressive. The portraits of Barack Obama are of two different facial expressions and the rendition is spot on. Besides the Obama portraits which are enough to catch the eye, Van has also included the two sayings which Barack Obama is always caught saying; “Change” and “Yes We Can”. All this along with a few stars, a simple grid pattern, the Barack Obama logos and some fading these custom sneakers are a pair which is defiantly unique in my book. Obama voter or not. This is an embarrassment to our country. I can’t believe people actually want to have his ugly mug on their shoes unless they are walking through dog crap as jake rivers suggested. I appreciate everyone comments. I am the artist who mad these shoes. Dont be fooled by fakes by Marc Moore or anybody else. I never mass produced this shoe.
I see this has caused some back and forth conversation. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I made these shoes as a gift to myself. To remind myself that I can achieve my goals no matter how tall the order may be.I also did it to show that you add substance to sneaker art. The result, some good some not so good. But thats great! I made these shoes in Feb 2008 before all the Obama merchandise…it was just a reminder that dreams can come true if you work hard and stay focus……and of course stay prayerful!!
