The team at Sony PlayStation and Nike have collaborated once again on another sneaker carrying a design inspired by the PlayStation gaming console, one which is even more limited then the highly sought after Sony PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1. Ron Eagle, Director of Product Publicity at Sony PlayStation and Nike teamed up to create a PlayStation inspired design on the newly redesigned Air Trainer 1. The sneakers use a very colorful design with gold graphics that are different on each shoe. The heel panel of the left sneaker uses various blue X’s on the other side of the upper while the inner side of the upper uses green triangles. The heel panel of the right sneaker switches it up a bit and uses the other buttons from the PlayStation controller with pink squares on the outer side of the upper and red O’s on the inner side of the upper. Nike’s signature Flywire technology on the forefoot uses an eye catching lenticular fabric which changes color according to the light. The same lenticular fabric has been added to the Nike Swoosh as well. On the back of the right sneaker you have a design in white showing all the PlayStation buttons and on the heel of the left sneaker you have the year 1994 to represent the year the PlayStation was debuted to the gaming industry. Added details include the PlayStation logo on the tongue tag and translucent jelly inserts in neon colors on the Free soles.
Unfortunately for all you collectors and PlayStation fans the PlayStation x Nike Air Trainer 1 will not be released to the public. Only a total of 24 pairs have been designed which were given exclusively to friends and family. If your lucky enough you may find a pair of eBay some day but for now click here to check out plenty of more detailed photos of both sneakers front and back. Via: SC
