Along with the hype of the Air Yeezy the Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Collection was also quite the subject around the “water cooler”. For years Kanye self proclaimed himself the Louis Vuitton Don and this past June 2009 he stepped up and showed us why hes the LV Don with a collection of footwear he designed with Louis Vuitton.
The Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Collection features three styles all designed for men. You have the Louis Vuitton Dons in four colorways, the Jasper which is named after Kanyes barber in three colorways and the Mr Hudson titled after a band based in London, England who is signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label in two colorways.
The red, white and blue versions of the Dons retailed for $870 while the brown/pink colorup went for $960. When it came to the Jasper the black and white colorways went for $990 and the grey/pink retailed for a whopping $1160. The Mr Hudson in hit the shelves in both colorways with a price set a $840.
There was also a style which Kanye West and Louis Vuitton made for females but for some reason or another the idea got scrapped for now.
