Top 10 Kanye West Shoes
First up we have the Air Yeezys, the signature sneaker of Kanye West produced by Nike. Kanye and Nike produced three colorways of the Air Yeezy with the first colorup, the Zen Grey/Light Charcoal colorway, hitting retailers on April 4th 2009. After that two additional colorways were released the following two months, the Black/Black on May 2nd 2009 and the Net/Net on June 6th 2009.
Due to the hype the Yeezys received online, and the fact they were Kanyes signature sneaker, sneakerheads found themselves in line days ahead of time just for a chance to get a pair of the limited quantity that was available at each retailer. While a lot of shops stuck to the suggested retail price we heard some stories of a few shops getting shady of folks when it came to the Air Yeezy releases and jacking the prices way up or offering them to the highest bidders as if they were working for eBay or something.
Part of the partnership between Nike and Kanye included a generous donation to the Kanye West Foundation. This Foundation provides opportunities for young people to engage in the creative and performing arts, and to develop the tools to remain in school and graduate.
