If you’ve ever seen Back to the Future you probably recall the futuristic Nike sneakers Marty McFly wore when he worked up enough courage to step-up to Biff outside the soda shop. The sneakers featured a self lacing system with lights on the strap lightning up the Nike brand name. There’s a rumor floating around the net that Kanye West is working closely with Nike to try and bring the sneakers to the market for consumers. Last year, there was a petition going around online to try and persuade Nike into releasing the sneakers. After thousands of signatures, it seemed like it was hopeless and the sneakers were never going to release. Then, a man by the name of Kanye West decides he wants them and the media starts buzzing and people start talking. It’s funny how celebrity power can push things along. The details are limited at this time and there’s no clear indication on whether or not this is just a rumor or something that’s actually in the works.
