For the next Air Force 1 to be added to the Nike 1World Collection Nike reached out to soccer player Rio Ferdinand to design a pair of AF1′s. Ferdinand went with a subtle design which uses an all white premium leather upper. Added details include gold embroidery on the Nike Swoosh, on the tongue tag and on the heel tabs with one displaying the number 5 and the other the letter V. Finishing up the design is a translucent gum sole and a quote by Rio Ferdinand printed on the insoles.
The Rio Ferdinand x Nike ’1World’ Air Force 1 was released today in limited numbers at the Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer Store in NYC.
Wow, for a simple design these are pretty dope.
