This Nike Delta Force 3/4, which is designed in honor of Vinnie Johnson and which we thought was suppose to be released last month, we have just learned will now officially land at House of Hoops next month in June.

The Vinnie ‘The Microwave’ Johnson was a 2-time NBA Champion of the Detroit Pistons and in honor of his achievements on the court Nike had designed this Delta Force 3/4 Mid in his honor. The sneakers feature a metallic sliver and royal blue upper with varsity red accents on the Nike swoosh and tounge. The midsole is all black while the outsole is made up from a combo of royal blue and varsity red. Really laying down the Vinnie “The Microwave” Johnson theme is the insoles which feature a design made to look like the keypad from a microwave. Included on the buttons is phrases like “Sixth Man”, “Defense”, “Instant Offense” and “Bench Points” which reference the attributes of Vinnie Johnson. Added details include the Nike font on the heel styled like a clock on a microwave with straight edges.
