Nike Dunk ‘Swamp Thing’ Custom Sneakers

July 23rd, 2008

nike-dunk-swamp-thing-custom-sneakers.jpg

Last week i gave you a preview of the Swamp Thing Custom Sneakers which Sekure D has been working on. Without further delay i present to you detailed shots of the finished design which obviously is inspired by the classic Swamp Thing comic books by Alan Moore. Sekure D has been working on these sneakers for about a month now paying as much attention to detail as possible and it goes without saying that it sure has paid off. A strong focus was put on the shadows of the vines and roots as well as the ground behind the vines and flowers giving the design some depth to it. All those of you who wanted to see something new from Sekure D besides the use of his signature designs have sure gotten what they asked for with these Nike Dunks. This is a personal pair that Sekure D did for himself and will not be listing in the store for sale. The sneakers will travel along with him to various sneaker events where fans will be able to check them out first hand since pictures do these sneakers no justice what so ever. You need to view detail like this up close and personal with your very own eyes to get the full effect and feel the depth. Ill keep you updated on those events and their locations when they become available. Check out a couple more detailed shots after the jump.

Nike Air Force One ‘Twins’ Customs

July 23rd, 2008

twins-custom-air-force-ones.jpg

Above is a pair of Custom Air Force Ones which have been designed for two-time All-Star and 2006 AL batting champion Joe Mauer. Joe happens to be a fellow sneakerhead who has a personal collection of well over 50 AF1’s. Being big into Air Force Ones Joe reached out to JGoods to have him design the most exclusive pair of AF1s that will grace his collection. The crew tossed around some ideas for awhile and tried to figure out what would be the best route to go that would include Joes favorite color baby blue. The idea to use the Twins throwback colors came to mind seeing as how the old colors included baby blue with subtle touches of red, white and blue. The way JGoods laid out the design is pretty dope and really gives you that Twins throwback vibe. The red, white and blue stripes around the toe box and mid panel are killer and give the sneakers such a smooth look in my opinion. The number 7, which Joe wears on the field was added to the heel in red and outlined in white. The designing doesnt stop there though. A pair of custom insoles were made in which JGoods added the Twins logo along with the number 7 again. As if that wasnt enough JGoods then went on to add his very own custom made tags which show two baseball players wearing JGoods jerseys and Dunks with the words “JGoods Custom Sneakers’ written above them. Theres also a little message included on the back of the tags which gave me a little chuckle. Check out the rest of the pictures after the jump to read the message on the backside of the tags and to check out the quality work produced by JGoods.

Nike Dunk ‘Paris’ Custom Sneakers

July 22nd, 2008

nike-dunk-paris-custom-sneakers.jpg

A few artists in the past have created their own custom sneakers to resemble the limited Nike SB Paris Dunks. Many of the designs we saw pretty much stuck to the original design Nike had released. tM Customs however decided to put a whole new twist to things with his version of the Paris Dunks displayed here for the ladies out there. Instead of the usual picture box design found on the originals, tM Customs has included full images on the frontal, mid panel and heel all laid out on canvas. To take things a little further a light blue stripe pattern was added to the tongue which blends nicely with the light green and other touches of blue in the designs. Before finishing things up though and calling it quits tM Customs designed a pair of custom Paris lacelocks and added some metal lace tips to the laces. If you are interested these are available for sale in kids sizes 6, 6.5 or 7. That would be 7.5, 8 and 8.5 in womens. If the guys are interested tM Customs may be willing to do some up in larger sizes. Contact tM Customs to place your order and check out the rest of the shots after the jump.

Nike Air Max 90 ‘Brew Crew’ Customs - Billy Hall

July 21st, 2008

nike-air-max-90-billy-hall-customs.jpg

About a week ago i showed you a pair of Nike Air Max 90 which were created for David Riske by C2 Customs. I am back already with another pair of custom sneakers created for yet another Milwaukee Brewers player. This time around Billy Hall reached out to C2 Customs to get his very own pair of the custom Air Max 90s just like many of his teammates have already done. Since its a team thing all the Air Max 90s have been designed exactly the same, with the expection of a few minor details, obviousluy the numbers being altered to fit the specific player and other small things such as the name of David Riskes son which was added to the lace tab on his pair. On this pair Billy Hall had his name added to the lace tab and of course had the number 2 added to the heel.  You didnt think i was kidding when i said C2 is going to ended up fufilling orders for the whole Brewers team did you? Haha. Stay tuned to Sneaker Obsession for all your custom sneaker updates.

Nike Air Force One ‘Regalia Elephantus’ Customs

July 21st, 2008

nike-air-force-one-elephantus-customs

The Starscream presents us with his new Custom Air Force Ones known as ‘The Regalia Elephantus’. Using an Air Force One with a perforated mid panel The Starscream went on to add an elephant print pattern to the frontal and heel pattern. This is the first time The Starscream has ever given an elephant print pattern a crack and i have to say the design is pretty cool. Although it may not exactly resemble what your use to seeing when it comes to an elephant pattern the design creates its own sense of style which makes it unique in its own sense. The elephant pattern combined with the perforated mid panel and subtle touches of red that were included on the base sneaker gives these customs a nice look overall. Check out a few more pictures after the jump.
