Trainer fans and Bo Jackson fans alike have all welcomed the return of the Nike Air Trainer SC. Besides for releasing OG versions Nike is also introducing some new color schemes on the Air Trainer SC. One such colorway which is planned to drop in the near future is this black and green colorup. The upper has an entirely black base which has been accented with hits of green on the lace eyelets, Nike Swoosh, within the visible air unit, around the top of the tongue and on the tongue tag branding, and finally outlining the Nike branding on the heel of the shoes. Brighten up the sneakers just a tad is a white mid-sole.
The Nike Air Trainer SC – Black/Green is expected to be available at select Nike retailers at the beginning of 2010.

NJ Skateshop has provided us with a sneak peek of the upcoming Nike SB ‘NJ/USA’ Dunk High. The sneakers are seen sporting a color combo of grey, black, red and white with a red/white stripped pattern around the ankle and heel section. A NJ Skateshop “NJ” logo is also worked into the design which can clearly be seen towards the heel. Due to the low resolution of the photo i cant quite make out at this time what exactly the material used on the upper is but the red Nike Swoosh almost appears to look like felt.
Although the sneakers are still in the sample stages NJ Skateshop has informed us that the Nike SB ‘NJ/USA’ Dunk High will officially release on July 4th, 2010. Keep it locked to Sneaker Obsession for further details and pictures.

Since the Yankees are “in it again” as they say, winning their 27th World Series Championship, the first one in 9yrs and the first one won at home in 10yrs, Yankee fever is defiantly in the air all around the country. Today the New York Yankees took the Canyon of Heroes in NYC for a long overdue parade that many of us have been waiting 9yrs for.
When the parade was all said and done and Mayor Bloomberg handed out keys to the city Yankees such as Alex Rodriguez and CC Sabathia made their way down to the most famous arena in the world, Madison Square Garden to watch Lebron James take on the NY Knicks for his only game this year to be played in the Garden. Just for the record, Lebron laid down 33 points leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 100-91 victory over the New York Knicks.
For those not in the know Lebron James not only loves the city of New York but hes also a big time Yankees fan. In honor of his all-time favorite baseball team winning their 27th Championship Lebron and Nike had designed this special version of the Air Max Lebron VII White/Midnight Navy. On the toe of the right sneaker theres detailing of pinstripes, baseball stitches and the number “27″ in gold. The toe of the left sneaker has the same pinstripes and baseball stitches, however the “27″ has been swapped for “New York”.
We highly doubt these will ever be released to the public and will only end up in the collection of Lebron James himself. Click here to check out a few more pictures of the sneakers and stay tuned for any further info that may surface about the Nike Air Max Lebron VII ‘NY Yankees’.

Ghostface Killah, a.k.a. Tony Starks has had the privileged to take part in the adidas x Def Jam 25th Anniversary Collection along with a few of his fellow Def Jam artists such as Redman, Method Man and Young Jeezy. A couple months ago we took a look an all purple adidas Forum Mid which Ghostface had the honor of designing and now we have a look at a pair of Stan Smith’s he also created.
The Ghostface Killah x adidas Stan Smith yields a grey suede upper with highlights of red and yellow placed throughout the sneakers. A drawing of Ghostface appears on the tongue tag with his name placed below it, his signature “G” logo appears on the heel of the upper and the red leather heel tabs sport the adidas logo and a “Pretty Tony” hit in white.

In 1991, Dee Brown of the Boston Celtics was announced as the NBA Slam Dunk Contest Winner with a stunning no-look dunk that simply amazed spectators, judges and competitors. Not only did this put Dee Brown’s name in the spotlight but it also gave Reebok a little bit of a boost when it comes to promotion due to the fact Dee won the contest wearing the Reebok Pump Omni Lite, his choice of signature sneakers and would “pump up” the sneakers before driving the lane in each round for his Dunks. That slight gesture, along with Dee winning it all at the end, was just enough for fans to instantly take a liking to the Dee Brown Pump Omni Lite.
Back in 1991 Reebok released the Pump Omni Lite ‘Dee Brown’ in a limited run of 1991 pairs in honor of Dee taking home the Slam Dunk Contest Award. Each pair was individually numbered on the back of the tongue. Fans scrambled in hopes of getting a pair but many were unlucky to snatch a pair up. Many who did get a pair when they originally released were not looking to sell them and not many popped up for sale from resellers. However, a few have started to make their way to consignment shops and online markets since sneaker collecting has become a lot more of a hobby today.
17 years later in 2008 Reebok re-released the sneakers as retro, again in a limited run. Just as they did back in 1991 the sneakers became a popular seller and sold out at retailers nationwide. Due to this being the second round of the sneakers, and there were more resellers around in ‘08 then ‘91 numerous pairs ended up for sale on eBay for slightly higher prices then retail.
Here we stand now, 18 years later, and Reebok has once again re-issued the Dee Brown Reebok Pumps. No word on exactly how many pairs have been produced but UBIQ has the black and white colorways in stock now and ready to ship for a price of $100. If you never had a chance to cop these, or are looking to pick up another pair cause yours are beat jump on this quick cause once the word gets out they will go like hot cakes.
Click here to check out more pictures of the sneakers and a quick video of the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest where Dee Brown takes on Shawn Kemp and does his epic no-look dunk.
